Using Smart Money is one of the fastest way to verify your Paypal account. Using this method, you will be able to verify your Paypal account in a few minutes. Just read carefully and follow the instructions to avoid problems.
Common Problems:
There are common mistakes yet easy to resolve why others can't verify their Paypal using Smart Money. These are the following:
• Insufficient Funds - Paypal will deduct Php100 that will be refunded to your Paypal after the verification within 24hrs and 1$ charge for the verification. To make sure that you have sufficient funds, put Php200 fund in your Smartmoney account.
• E-mail Verification - You will be asked to verify your Paypal upon signing-up via E-mail. Please check your email for the activation link.
• Wrong Info - common sense is required for this. Even other money transfer outlets or bank will require to verify your identification. We are dealing real money here, so don't use names like Bugs Bunny or fake information.
• Unlock Smartmoney - This one is very important. This is a security feature to protect your Smartmoney account from unauthorized online usage. You have to UNLOCK your Smartmoney before making Internet/Online transactions. This can be done by navigating SmartMenu on your mobile phone.
Verification Process:
STEP 1. Login to your Paypal account and click "Get Verified".
STEP 2-A. Fill-up ALL the information needed. Enter your Smartmoney account number, expiration date and CVC, these informations can be seen printed on your Smartmoney card. See the image below.
NOTE: After filling all the required information, DO NOT click "Continue" yet. You have to unlock your Smartmoney account first. Follow the steps below.
STEP 2-B. To unlock your Smartmoney account for online transactions, just follow the instructions below using your mobile.
Navigate you SmartMenu select Smartmoney --> go to Internet Txns --> Unlock
Select your Smartmoney account --> Press Ok and enter your W-PIN.
You will receive a SMS that your Smartmoney is now unlocked. You may now go back to your Paypal account and click "Continue"
STEP 3. After clicking "Continue", you will now receive your 4-digit code to verify your Paypal. Your 4-digit code will be sent via SMS. Go back to "Account Overview" and click "Get Verified" (See image below)

STEP 4. Enter the 4-digit code and click "Confirm Card" to finish the verification of your Paypal account.
Congratulations! Your Paypal is now Verified!!!
